PROGRAM COMPONENTS

i.   ORGANIZING COMPONENT

This component determines the sector/s in need of organizing the community where the office had sought to be organized. From fathers, domesticated mothers, fishermen, out of school youth, children as may be direct or indirect beneficiaries. The program is committed to the apostolic task of forming and building self-nourishing, self-governing, self-reliant Christian communities as a response to the needs and aspirations of the poor majority. It initiates, promotes and supports people’s organization among the grassroots. Organization may at least help put-up a structure, formulate their by-laws and/or have legal personality as per assumed by the group being organized.

ii.  TRAINING/CAPABILITY BUILDING COMPONENT

This component shall resolve in transferring technologies necessary in the development of organization or individual, which will be realized in the level of:

a.  Organization and its Structure

From organizational integral formation development training’s, entrepreneurship to cooperatives: it shall promote the concerns and interests of the community facilitating conceptualized liturgies and catechizes other faith-life encounters. The organization is seriously concerned about the total development of all aspects of the human and community life of its members.

b. Individual or Group

Skills development for personal or livelihood development purposes such as computer literacy, adult education and/or other skills identified as a need in their development valued as formal or informal learning.

iii. HEALTH & NUTRITION COMPONENT

This aims to develop an effective primary health care, sanitation and nutrition education program in underserved communities through full participation and active involvement of the community towards the development of a self-reliant individual and communities capable of achieving an acceptance level of health and well-being.

iv.  LIVELIHOOD COMPONENT

This will entail technology transfer, policy formulation to livelihood development through identification of coherent livelihood opportunity being identified in the area by the group/organization. This will be done through fund sourcing and linking to potential government and non-government agencies and/or internal fund, which is within the programs capability. It works towards self-reliance as part of the communities’ task of fulfilling their total vocation as concrete and living communities of people. Thus, they labor in the economic activities of life, sharing in the activity of creation for the welfare and development of the common good.

v.   ADOPT-A-MOUNTAIN/ADOPT-A-BARANGAY

The program shall adopt-a-barangay and/or adopt-a-mountain to facilitate different    interventions/programs mentioned based from the felt-need of the people/communities. It shall involve benefactors within and outside Olongapo City (adopter) who wishes to provide assistance to the identified communities. This program aimed to contribute environmental preservation and conservation agenda.

vi.  BASIC INFRASTRUCTURE FACILITIES COMP0NENT

This program shall intervene in the affairs pertaining to basic infrastructure facilities the group in compensation to the need and accessibility of the community such as: internal or external roads construction, bridges, buildings like schools or health and day care centers and others which is within the capability of the office or being sourced-out from the leading government or non-government organizations.

vii. ADVOCACY COMPONENT

This program shall initiate basic awareness on spiritual, cultural, political, economic, social and environmental aspects to keep pace in the lateral development of these dimensions, which are necessary in total human development of these dimensions, which are necessary in total human development. It shall tackle issues and concerns to make people aware of their responsibilities in themselves, in their fellowmen, and to God in effective community building addressing holistically the various community issues and social problems.
